Ølhøner - Decorated hand carved hens - Wassertrog aus Kiefernholz handgeschnitzt und dekoriert in schönen Farben

Alt starter på landsbygden! I gamle dager brukte man store serveringsboller av tre til å servere øl i. For å gjøre serveringen enklere lå der vanligvis en liten bolle, (trefugl), oppi den store bollen. Denne trefuglen ble fylt med øl, og sendt rundt bordet. Eller den ble brukt når noen ville forsyne seg av ølet. Dermed startet tradisjonen med håndsmidde "Ølhøner" av tre.

I julehøytiden holder vi hardere på tradisjonene enn ellers. Ølhøne og spekemat må vi ha, enten vi spikker høna og skinka sjøl eller får noen andre til å gjøre det. Vanligvis er det mannfolk som driver med treskjæring og spikking, og denne tradisjonen er sterk og lang både i Norge, Sverige, Finland og Danmark.

"Morgendagens Arvegods"! Hver eneste ølhøne har sin egen personlige stil, men alle er de laget i tre og malt i nydelige oljefarger. Naturligvis velger de fleste å spikke ølhønene av furutre. Kanskje aller helst svensk furu?

Everything starts in the countryside! In the old days, people used large serving bowls of wood to serve beer in. To make serving easier and prevent to much beer to spill there was usually a small bowl, (hand carved hen of pine), placed in the big bowl. This hand carved hen of pine was filled with beer and passed around the table. Or it was used when someone would help themselves to more beer. Now, this was the birth of the tradition of decorated hand-carved "Ølhøner" made of nordic pine.

During the Christmas holiday season, we keep strong traditions when gathering. A gathering with "Ølhøne" (or hand carved wood hens of pine) and cured meats, is something we must have, whether we carve the wood hen and ham ourselves, or have someone else to do it. Usually it is men who are engaged in woodcarving, and it is a long and strong tradition in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

"Inheritance of tomorrow"! Every "Ølhøne" have their own personal style, but they all are made of wood and decorated in gorgeous oil colors. Naturally, most people try to carve their "Ølhøner" of pinewood. Perhaps most preferably Swedish pine?

Wassertrog für Bier trinken.

Alles beginnt in der Natur! In den alten Tagen, benutzten die Menschen große Schüsseln aus Holz, Bier in. Um Servieren einfacher lag da in der Regel einer kleinen Schüssel (trefugl) dienen, in der großen Schüssel. Diese trefuglen wurde mit Bier gefüllt und herumgereicht den Tisch. Oder es wurde verwendet, wenn jemand sich auf Bier zu helfen. Damit begann die Tradition der handgeschmiedeten "Ølhøner" von drei.

Während der Weihnachtszeit halten wir die Tradition härter als sonst. "Ølhøne" und Wurstwaren, müssen wir, ob wir Hühnchen und Schinken selbst geschnitzt oder jemand anderes zu tun. Normalerweise ist es Männer, die in der Holzbearbeitung und geschnitzt beteiligt sind, und diese Tradition ist stark und lang in Norwegen, Schweden, Finnland und Dänemark.

"Tomorrow's Inheritance Götter"! Jeder "Ølhøne" haben ihren persönlichen Stil, aber alle sind aus Holz gefertigt und in prächtigen Ölfarben gemalt. Natürlich versuchen die meisten Menschen "Ølhønene" aus Kiefernholz schnitzen. Vielleicht am meisten bevorzugt schwedischer Kiefer?
